The v100GX increases your return on investment with its plug and play conversion kit to enable a smooth upgrade path from Ku-band to the GX service without replacing the reflector or the radome. The smart design of the convertible RF package means the system can be upgraded from Ku-band to GX in 10 minutes, without requiring a specialized service engineer.

Ku to GX in 4 Easy Steps

Easily and quickly convert from a Ku-band system to a Ka-band GX system in under 10min without removing the radome. All RF components are mounted on a single chassis to form an integrated RF module consisting of the BUC and the Intellian Global PLL LNB.

By removing only four bolts the whole module can be detached and taken out of the radome through the access hatch. The new BUC & LNB module fit right back into the same space with no need to rebalance the system. Finally, the Ku-band feed is easily replaced with the Ka-band feed.

To ensure efficient operations for both Ku-band VSAT and Ka-band Inmarsat GX systems, the radome itself is designed to enhance both the Ka- and Ku-band system performance. The new Radome is also designed to match conventional domes, an important benefit on installations where great aesthetics are important.

The v100GX is designed and engineered to operate on Ku and Ka-bands while maximizing the RF performance on both bands. The v100GX’s high-gain, precision carbon fiber reflector ensures the best service quality available when configured for Ku or Ka-band operation.

Ku to Ka in 4 Easy Steps

The v100 can be easily and quickly converted from a Ku-band system to a Ka-band system in under 10 minutes without removing the radome. To keep the process simple, all RF components are mounted on a single chassis to form an integrated RF module consisting of the BUC and Intellian Global PLL LNB. By unfastening only four bolts the whole module can be detached and removed from the radome through the access hatch. Newtec MDM3100 IP Satellite Modem

Return Link Technology Flexibility for Tailored Services 

The modem supports three return access technologies with the Newtec Dialog platform: MF-TDMA, SCPC and the new patented Mx-DMA™ (Cross-Dimensional Multiple Access). Mx-DMA incorporates MF-TDMA flexibility and on-demand variable bandwidth allocation at SCPC efficiency.
MF-TDMA satellite return technologies are typically targeting applications with highly overbooked and bursty traffic services, such as Internet access for consumers, SME, B2B and SCADA. SCPC on the other hand has more applicability in high data and video rate return links. In between there is a large amount of applications with low to
medium overbooked services and important throughput rates up to 21 Mbps where Mx-DMA comes into the game. The modem combines different access technologies with different coding and modulation to match different application requirements. The 4CPM (Quaternary Continuous Phase Modulation) is ideal for low rate bursty traffic and HighResCoding (HRC™) will optimize low to medium rate traffic. The high granularity of MODCOD choices in HRC provides the best modulation and coding for each link condition while the use of short block codes minimizes latency over satellite. For the high rate traffic, the modem supports S2 return technologies in SCPC.

High Service Satisfaction

For a true broadband experience at minimal bandwidth consumption, the modem incorporates IP traffic enhancement software for TCP acceleration, prefetching, compression and encryption.  Traffic can be classified in seven different Quality of Service classes based on IP traffic characteristics (protocol types,source/destination address and more). Traffic in a specific class is given priority to match the Service Level Agreements.
