Get Back Out There: Theodore Roosevelt National Park

Often referred to as the "Conservationist President", Theodore Roosevelt oversaw the creation on the United States Forest Service and established 150 national forests, 51 federal bird reserves, 4 national game preserves, 5 national parks, and 18 national monuments. Much of this was inspired by the time he spent in the North Dakota Badlands in the 20's which gave rise to his personal concern of consverving our environment & natural rescources.
In 1947 the Theodore Roosevelt National Memorial Park was created, and named a National Park in 1978. Today it is home to a variety of plants and animals, and continues to memorialize the 26th president for his enduring contributions to the safekeeping and protection of our nation’s resources.
When you decide to go visit be aware that a good portion of the park does not have cellular service. You will need to have a communications plan. Here are some ultra portable satellite devices that will keep you connected throughout the entire park.
